On the death of Okwui Enwezor

"Okwui Enwezor was one of the most important international curators of the past decades. An impressive, calm and at the same time convincing personality to whom we owe the expansion of a concept of art limited to the Western world to a global perspective," says Ulrich Blank, Chairman of the Folkwang Museum Association. In 2017, Enwezor was awarded the International Folkwang Prize. Last but not least, the members of the FMV will have special memories of the ravishing evening of the award ceremony as well as his impressive speech.
