Recently acquired... "Jahrmarkt" by Max Beckmann

The Folkwang Museumsverein has acquired Max Beckmann's "Jahrmarkt" portfolio from 1921 for the Folkwang Museum's Graphic Collection. The portfolio with ten drypoint etchings is one of Beckmann's most important graphic series and complements our existing collection. We were allowed to look over the shoulder of curator Dr. Tobias Burg while unpacking the valuable drawing.
