Acquisitions

Since its foundation in 1922, Folkwang-Museumsverein has acquired over 200 art works for the Museum Folkwang collection. The following important works are listed here by way of example alongside current acquisitions. In all cases the works were purchased with funds provided by the association or with significant participation by the association. Furthermore, all works acquired in this way were subsequently brought into the shared possession of the City of Essen and the association. Would you like to find out more? Please contact us!
